The Farm

Since 2003, field trials have been at the heart of AgroHaitai’s variety selection. What began on a few acres has grown into a dedicated 28-acre research farm in Southern Ontario, with 14 acres under active cultivation. Here, we trial varieties from breeders around the world under real field conditions, selecting those with the best potential for our growers.

The Trials

No single variety performs best everywhere. Different climates, growing conditions, and markets call for different solutions.
Our trials evaluate adaptability, disease resistance, yield, quality, and overall performance. Promising varieties are further tested with our partners in Canada and overseas, while we work closely with breeders to select and develop varieties for different growing regions and market needs.

Our goal is simple: to help growers find the right variety for where and how they grow.
