Privacy policy

Effective date: November 2, 2026

Haitai Seeds (AgroHaitai Ltd.) respects the privacy of our customers and the importance of the information they entrust to us. We are committed to maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality and security of your personal information. This policy is based on Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Accountability: We are responsible for the personal information under our control. Questions or requests about this policy can be sent to our privacy contact at sales@agrohaitai.com, or by mail to AgroHaitai Ltd., 1480 Sand Hill Drive, Unit 9, Ancaster, Ontario, Canada.

Identifying Purposes: We collect, use and disclose personal information to process and deliver your orders, provide customer service, operate and improve our website, and measure how well our advertising works. If you subscribe to our emails, we also use your email address to send you news and offers. We identify these purposes before or at the time we collect your information.

Consent: Knowledge and consent are required for the collection, use or disclosure of personal information, except where required or permitted by law. Providing your information is always your choice, but choosing not to provide certain information may limit our ability to provide our products or services. You can withdraw consent at any time, as described under “Your Choices” below.

Limiting Collection: We collect only the information needed for the purposes identified above. This includes information you give us (such as your name, address, email, phone number and order details) and information collected automatically when you use our site (such as pages visited, device and browser type, and general location), as described under “Cookies”.

Limiting Use, Disclosure and Retention: We use and disclose personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected, unless you have consented otherwise or as required or permitted by law. We keep it only as long as needed for those purposes or as required by law.

Service Providers: We share information with trusted service providers who help us run our business, including Shopify (our e-commerce platform), payment processors, shipping carriers, and Google (for search, product listings and advertising measurement). These providers may only use your information to provide services to us.

Storage Outside Canada: Our service providers may store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information stored outside Canada is subject to the laws of that country, and may be accessible to its courts and authorities.

Cookies: Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. We use three kinds:

• Essential cookies keep the store working, such as your shopping cart, currency and region. These are always on.
• Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. These are provided by Google and Shopify.
• Advertising cookies help us measure how well our Google ads work.

We only use analytics and advertising cookies if you accept them in our cookie banner. Cookies must be enabled for the shopping cart to work.

Advertising Measurement: If you accept advertising cookies and place an order, we may share a coded (hashed) version of your email address with Google to measure whether our ads led to your purchase. Hashing converts your email into a string of characters before it is sent. Google uses it only to measure our advertising and does not share it with other advertisers.

Your Choices: To change your cookie choices, clear the cookies for agrohaitai.com in your browser settings. Our cookie banner will appear again on your next visit so you can choose again. You can also contact us at sales@agrohaitai.com and we will help. You can unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any email. To ask us to stop using your information in other ways, contact us at sales@agrohaitai.com.

Accuracy: We keep personal information as accurate, complete and up to date as needed for the purposes it is used for.

Safeguarding Customer Information: We protect personal information with security safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, and take reasonable precautions against loss or unauthorized access, use or disclosure.

Openness: We make information about our privacy policies and practices available to you on request.

Customer Access: On request, we will tell you whether we hold your personal information, how it has been used and disclosed, and give you access to it. You may check its accuracy and ask for corrections. In certain circumstances permitted by law, we may not be able to disclose some information.

Changes to This Policy: We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
